Layout Editing
With GU:66, the ability to turn items in different ways is within your reach!
New options for turning objects are being added to the Decorator's Wheel with GU:66.
You can toggle this window off and on with key command "Cntrl + E" or by clicking the "Decorator Mode" icon on the Housing Interface Button. While inside of a housing instance, simply click the item you wish to manipulate while in Decorator's Mode and select the action you want to perform. |
We also have the ability to change numbers in the layout files a couple different ways.
Using the Layout Editor
The Layout Editor is an external program that allows the user to identify, isolate and manipulate items within a file. You can use it to do some basic item movements, or you can also use some of the Editor's advanced features to create things such as perfectly spaced spiral staircases. Either way, learning the basics of the program may take some time. It's usually suggested to start out in an empty house and just try manipulating a couple of items to see how things work. There are some guides available to help you through some of the steps.

Notepad/Wordpad Editing
This was the original way to pitch or roll an object. It's still a functional way to work, but can be very tedious when trying to single items out. If you are completely anti-learning how to use the Layout Editor program but still would like to know how to turn a few tiles on their sides, this might be an ideal option for you.
